Tis' the Season to be jolly...Ba ba ba bubaaa, ba ba ba ba! That's Kenadie's version and let me tell you she is quite the singer. Like I said before, she jabbers and jabbers and screams all day long. Now, I've learned to use those jabbers to make beautiful music. The more I sing (which isn't pretty, even to a dogs ears) the more Kenadie laughs and giggles.
Her good nature allows me to have all kinds of fun with her. One day, I decided to put her in a snowman costume that I had bought a year ago when I first found out I was pregnant. I won't lie either, it seemed cute, but kind of corny. Since it was that time of year, I pulled it out and plopped it on the baby. And here she is...
But after all that fun and a few more weeks of the Snowman outfit, it was finally Christmas...and that means, telling Santa everything you want under the tree. And that's just what we did. We stood in line at the mall in order to see Jolly Ol' Saint Nick and boy was I ready for the screams as soon as I placed her on his lap. But NO! Not my kid. She sees this strange man dressed in red with a big white beard and thinks nothing of it. She put her arms out for Santa to grab her from my arms...What is this?! I haven't introduced her to Santa yet, she needs to NOT want to go to strangers handing out candy canes. Lord Have MERCY! This was about to change... I plopped Kenadie on his lap and I got a look of death as if to say "Mother, why are you walking away while I sit her in a cracked out winter wonderland on a strange mans lap?" I was jumping up and down ringing some stupid bell and looking like a blabbling idiot trying to get her to smile and NOTHIN'! Then this peppy little green elf comes bouncing out from behind the booth and got a huge giggle out her. But then again, I laughed too...
At 7am that next morning, Kenadie woke up giggling awaiting the second I came in to pick her up and journey downstairs to see how she was spoiled...and boy was she! A huge stuffed dog and a karaoke stage from Santa, a Leap Frog Learning Dog (which is more fun than it sounds), maraca's, baby laptop, clothes, weebles, rattles... you name she got it!! Then we adventured over to Grandma and Grandpa's house where more toys were. A Fisher Price, Noah's Ark, American Girl Doll, more rattles, teething rings, first fish tank, books... you name it!! The best part of this whole Christmas was that Kenadie was so excited for everything. We taught her how to rip the paper off the presents and NOT to put it in her mouth...yah right! With every present she opened her little legs kicked and arms flailed and she screamed and smiled with every toy. It was just so cute!
