Well, Kenadie is just about 5 months now and is getting stronger and happier by the minute. She has not only discovered here little toes, but is also sitting up all by herself. Amazing right!? :) The whole month of December has been nothing but constant chatter and yelling. Sometimes she's a bit loud, but how do you tell a little one whom has just discovered her voice to quiet down. If anything, Aron and I are cheering her on! "Can you be louder?" "Let me hear it sister!!"
Just about a week ago, Kenadie learned another consonant D! While Aron and I were lying in bed having a leisure Sunday morning with our little girl, all of a sudden she babbles out "Dadadadada!" Now, we both secretly became proud parents of the youngest baby to ever talk, but then we knew it was nothing anyone would believe us on, so we took for what it was... a new letter to blabble out REALLY LOUDLY! Aron still believes that she is calling him every time she yells "Dadadadada!" and he will come running out of nowhere to see her. I'm still working on the Mama, but this week we have another new letter...B! And if you can't guess, we sing a lot of Ba Ba Black Sheep. She takes care of the Ba Ba part and I sing the rest.
Talk about growing up too fast. Kenadie got her first red convertible! And I suppose it's ok to tell everyone that she has road rage like her mother and punches the steering wheel like her father. All in all... she's ready for the Indy 500. Watch out Danika!
Just a few weeks before Christmas, we took Kenadie to the Lincoln Christmas Parade. All bundled up because it was a bone chilling 40 degrees outside and windy, she got to see horsies, Elves, reindeer and our favorite Santa and Mrs. Clause. Really, the only thing she gathered from the parade was that there was a lot of pretty lights and that she was so bundled up she mimicked a scene out of A Christmas Story.
It's tough being so cute and so small! :)
And in case you were all wondering, she still looks just like her daddy.
