The First 10 Weeks

At this early stage, our little peanut had me moving at a pace of a sloth, eating like a bird and hibernating like grizzly. My life was a zoo!

Not even showing and I was already getting the jist that he/she was going to be a hand full. With just 10 weeks of pregnancy under my belt food had taken a violently different roll in my life. Everything I loved now had to be avoided at all costs. Unless you wanted to see me sick that is... Coffee, red meat, marinara sauce and pickles sliced on burgers or sandwiches (no I'm not kidding, it's this intense), all were my worst enemy. I was so confused, wasn't I supposed to have cravings and start gaining massive amounts of weight. What's the deal with this?

Can we talk about exhaustion? Pregnancy gives a whole new meaning to the word. I literally went home for lunch one day to take a quick cat nap right after I almost fell asleep at an appointment. Before I laid on the couch, I set my phone alarm and kept the TV on since it was nearly impossible to fall into a deep sleep when that's left on. I covered up with my favorite quilt. Time check...11:30am. What felt like 20 minutes later, I woke up to a flashing phone, feeling a bit more refreshed and a clock glowing 4:45pm! It gets worse... I was up until 8pm and fell back asleep until the next morning. Unfortunately, this happens until the close of the baby market which starts the 2nd trimester!
