6/13/2007Now that Peanut is about 4 lbs and ranging from 16-18 inches long, she can be felt like crazy. Any little hand movement, twist, turn and kick is visible to Aron and I. It's absolutely crazy! You can see her foot extended pushing my stomach about 2 inches out. Honestly, at times it feels like she is about to rip out of my stomach...and it feels just as uncomfortable as it sounds. I try to tell her that she needs to wait for another 7 weeks before she can stretch like that, but just like Aron...she's stubborn and doesn't listen (LOVE YOU HON).
The best part of these movements are the night time footsie's. When I lie on my left side at night Peanut decides that's when she wants to have her resting place for her feet. That spot where she likes, is right below my ribs, and if she can't get it, she will try every way possible to get it. I feel one little foot try to slip in from the bottom and wedge into her position. Once that doesn't work, I feel the little foot start poking around from the top...nope. Then she goes for something more abrupt and tries to kick her way into it. Still not working, she will try to move it back and forth as if she were digging into it. If I can say one thing for my unborn child it's that she is persistent and WILL get what she wants. I like to think this takes after me... I got Aron didn't I?? ;) Back to Peanut, because I have a soft spot for this little one already, I have to place a pillow under my tummy so that she can get her foot placed and finally stop moving. See, she is so big now that any movement keeps me up or wakes me up from a dead sleep.
Baby Footsie's = Tired Mommy!!
IF you haven't seen the disclaimer, this tummy is NOT mine. I wish it was!
