Well, it's no secret that I have super quick deliveries...but this time was out of control. Experts say that 2nd babies tend to come quicker than the first ones...ok, I've seen that ring true with my mom and several friends. But what I have a problem with is trying to figure out if I'm in labor or not. I will be damned if I'm that girl that has gone into Labor and Delivery and sent home 3 times because I'm not in active labor or just not dilated enough yet. That's just embarrassing and plus, I'm not one to complain about pain.

So let's start the timeline to Tenley:
5:30 - Getting ready for Angie's Bachelorette Party contractions started becoming noticeable (10 minutes apart) but not super painful.
6:00 - Contractions are 7 minutes apart, but still nothing worth writing home about. And plus, they seem like they could stop as they are somewhat sporadic. A neighbor stops by as they begin to intensify...she talks and talks and talks...and talks. Contractions are starting to get closer the whole HOUR she was here.
6:30pm - About to leave for Bachelorette Party and contractions are still 5 minutes apart, sometimes 6 minutes, but I'm pretty sure they are just Braxton Hicks. I've been having these darn things all week...why would it be different now?
7:15pm - Sitting at La Provence with friends, laughing and I started to notice contractions were moving farther apart but the ones that did come were painful. Pretty sure this is false labor being they aren't consistent. I stayed at the Bachelorette party for about an hour when I thought I should go home.
7:45pm - Home from Bachelorette Party and contractions kicked over to every 2 minutes and Oober painful!! I couldn't even think at this point. As I'm sitting on the couch with my family, I stood up and thought I was peeing my pants with every contraction. It took my mom to clarify "Share, your water is breaking..." for me to finally agree, it's go time!
8:35pm - go to the hospital after water started to break and I was now convinced I was in labor. We pack our bags and all head to the hospital while my contractions start to be unbearable!
8:50pm - Check into hospital at 5 cm dilated and get a nurse that is just moseying along and not taking me seriously. She thought I was another complainer...No, lady, EPIDURAL...NOW! This kid isn't waiting and I don't want another natural birth.
9:15pm - After 25 minutes of a super casual nurse who didn't believe I could feel the baby's head and that she was coming VERY QUICKLY, she moved me into the delivery room and FINALLY ordered the epidural.
9:30pm - Dr. McSteamy comes into the room to give me relief with the all mighty epidural (Again, does not work...)
9:50pm - Lay down to hopefully relax with a painless labor and POP! goes the water. Baby is here...I can feel her crowning. It was insane! They put my feet up in stirrups and tell me not to push. i.e. EVIL TORTURE! Take my feet off the stir ups lady!
10:00pm - I'm waiting to push because doctor hadn't arrived yet. Does anyone know what that is like? It's crazy uncomfortable... I literally crossed my legs and held her in until the Doc got there through 3 contractions. They thought I was crazy, but she was crowning, I could feel her head. I started laughing as the circus ran around trying to figure out what Dr. was close enough to catch little baby girl bishop. My nurse turned to the other crew and laughed with me "We need to get someone here because she's going to laugh this baby out!" After 15 minutes of debauchery, finally the Dr. arrived.
10:19pm - Here she is!! 3 contractions and 2 pushes later Tenley Rose was here. She was beautiful
