The Santa Dance

Here comes Santa Clause

Here comes Santa Clause

Right down Galleria Way...

Well, Ho, ho, ho and who thought trying to sit down with the Old Saint Nick would be so OUTRAGEOUS! I'll admit, this year has been crazy with the new job and secret planning GiGi's 75th birthday. The last thing I thought to be hard to do was get a photo with Mr. Ho, Ho, Ho himself. But, it was a couple days before Christmas and the opportunity presented itself. It was Sunday and the mall opened up at 10am. We had Kenadie fed, dressed and ready for her close up. We saunter into the mall with nothing but holiday glee. We walk into the main part to see a line that is 2 HOURS LONG for Santa! ARE YOU KIDDING!? How did it get filled up so fast...? It was 10:01...

Sneaky is Santa's specialty. I mean, how do you think he is so crafty with getting in and out of our houses without us evening tossing and turning?? Santa apparently had been taking photo's since 8am! Where were we?? Ok, so we walked up to the little board that posted Santa's hours of operation. Tomorrow... 7am... Santa was open. With that being said... we packed up our bags, laid out the clothes and set the alarms. Apparently there was no messing around when it came to Santa photos.

Game plan: Aron wakes up at 6, gets in line. I wake kenadie up shortly after, feed her, dress her and in the car we go. Exhausted and amazed that we are going to such lengths for this photo when we have the real Santa at our house whenever we send a jingle (Olie :) ) So, Aron gets there and is #4 in line... at 7am! I'm still dumbfounded by this. I arrive just in time to through Kenadie at Santa and jump around the little Elf and begin to make an ass of myself. "HI KENADIE!! OVER HERE!! SMILE!!" There should be a hidden camera to capture all the parents jumping around trying to get their kids to smile. Now, was Kenadie scared... Nope! She leaned in and gave Santa a hug. After a few minutes it sank in that she was chillin' with the Ho, Ho Himself and her eyes got big. Her pictures arrive and they perfect... she looked a little tired and somewhere during the whole shenanigan, she lost her bow. But at the end, it was a success!!
