10 and Trouble

Who Me??

It seemed like just yesterday that our little girl was just learning to smile and today I look at her and she is RUNNING! I don’t know if I’m thrilled that she is 10 months and running or sad that my days of relaxing are over. I hear “Mama!” as I walk through the door from work and see this little peanut running from around the bend and crashing into me like a freight train. She looks up only to yell “Rella!” and shove her stuffed Cinderella doll in my face. This usually means… Mama, kiss Rella and say hello. I apparently did have twins, Kenadie and Rella. The two never go apart, they are always side by side: eating breakfast, lunch and dinner, taking naps, going on a car ride and going to bed.

Apart from Rella, the only other thing that is beyond comparable is the POOL!! She started in the small blow up pool which was a lot warmer in May then the big pool. Splishin’ and Splashin’ she would end up emptying the pool before it was even time to get out. We even made our little blow up pool into Spring Break Folsom. While in the pool Kenadie found it fun to shake her bon bon and put on a show for the family. She isn’t shy… that’s for sure! I think she is getting ready to give me a run for my money. And NO, there will be NO SPRING BREAK adventures until she is 30!

After a nice swim and a run around the kitchen island, we started to notice that Kenadie was getting quiet. Uh oh… quiet means trouble… trouble means… OPENING UP THE CABINETS!! Alright, here come the latches. Has anyone experienced these things? After opening up cabinets for over 25 years the same way, the latches have thrown a curve ball at Aron and me. Kenadie is strictly puzzled by them because the once “oh so simple to open” doors have now mysteriously shut, never to open again. Let me just tell you all, I’ve broken EVERY nail on my hand with these things. I kid you not!! I forget they are there and go to open the door and CRACK there goes the latest manicure. It never fails! As smart as Kenadie is, she notices that we push something on the inside of the door to get them open and has been trying to work magic to do the same. HAHAHA! We win again Kenadie!!

Each day Kenadie experiences something new; food, words, silly faces and noises. This particular day, Kenadie got her first taste of a Chocolate Popsicle! Mmm, Mmm, Mama may I have another?
