The Girls Take on Maui

We took a 5 1/2 hour flight to visit our most wonderful Uncle Teddy, Auntie Annie and their newest addition Baby Stella. We stayed at the Marriot in Wailea which is only about 5 minutes from their house, 2 seconds from amazing beaches and right in a perfect spot to see whales jump in the distance. Our hotel had a pool that had water slides for the kids and BIG slides for the adults. Kenadie had a blasts while Tenley tried all new things like eating sand. Mmm...that only happened once and she quickly learned it was gross. I don't blame her. Yuck!
I have to say though, family vacations are as fun as they are tiring. Kids still wake up early and throw temper tantrums and go, go, go constantly. They do make the memories that much greater in the end, no matter how tired you are. Tenley and Kenadie are pretty funny together as they would sit out on the balcony and look out at the ocean and each work on their hula. Tenley was a trooper as she had a double ear infection the whole time but still kept her smile and good disposition.
When we got to hang out with our new little Stella, everyone couldn't get enough of her...I mean honestly, she's a little fluffy peep of yumminess :) Kenadie took over role as big sister and held her as much as she could. Then like a typical 3 year old she would throw her off when she was done. You know, kids just don't get it all the time with babies. It's ok, she's 3. Tenley would crawl up to Stella and grab her, thus getting the name Big Squid. She sucked onto Stella. It will be fun to see the girls when they are all older. Very sweet!
I'm ready to go back to Hawaii...It was amazing! But now it's back to reality of school, work, swim and friends.
