Are these two characters long lost sisters? Possibly...
After being at home with Little Miss K for 3 weeks now, I'm starting to see a side of her I missed out on by working 9-5. She's a riddle of personality and as a mother, I now have a greater appreciation for those mom's that stay at home. I've always preached to the working mom's that the stress level they are under is high and now I can say with positivity that so are stay-at-home mom's.
Kid's go through CRAZY mood swings during the day. 7:30am, Kenadie is happy, lovey dovey and super cute... this tends to stay until lunch time when her blood sugar is running low and her feistiness kicks in full force.
After lunch is a bit of play and then a necessary "rest time". I don't care if that means nap or just lie down and watch a movie. Whatever she does, she needs to recharge because she is not listening and in trouble 90% of the time.
If things seem too quiet, that means trouble is ensuing. (i.e. coloring on something she shouldn't be, breaking something and trying to hide it...) After nap, she's usually happy and ready to play again with a full battery. But it's still a full time job to get the house cleaned, dinner and make sure Tink isn't into any trouble.
By the time Daddy gets home she's usually had enough of Mommy telling her No! and moves onto sweet talking Daddy (who falls for it every time) He gets worked ;) Bath and Bedtime used to be easy with her... As of lately, she believes she is missing out on something bigger and better downstairs.
I'd hate to break her heart, but it's just Mommy and Daddy relaxing watching TV discussing our day. But, I don't need her catching onto the fact that Mommy and Daddy aren't as super exciting as she'd like to think we are. :)
