Fall Heard Around the World

After a long day of work, I was making my last call to one of my favorite offices. This particular day I decided to switch from my sassy heels to modest flats. Being 22 weeks, I thought it was about time to make the switch, like it or not. As I went out of the office, I walked to my car and as I stepped down from the curb my toe clipped the uneven pavement and SPLAT! I fell baby bell first onto the black top. Holding onto my heavy computer and sample bag, I was able to somewhat turn to the side and protect her...so I thought.

A couple days later, I hadn't felt any contractions or cramping so I thought she was ok. I was wrong...As Aron prepared for the Michigan State final four appearance, I was upstairs lying down resting when I realized I was bleeding. Knowing this was very bad, I called my doc and headed to the hospital. After a night of monitors, beeps and medications, baby cheese is ok. I was put on bed rest, not to lift anything over 10lbs. Now, I've done bedrest with Kenadie for 6 weeks...but this was looking like 18 weeks. Apparently, I when I fell, my placenta pulled from my uterus which can be detrimental for the baby. But, with all the monitoring, she seemed strong. So...Bedrest her I come!
