Waiting for the Poop...

July 30th, 2007

It's been three days and Kenadie hasn't pooped. To those who don't have kids you're probably thinking... big deal! She had one big blowout in the hospital that Aron and I dodged when the nurse had to clean her. It was huge, black and gross!! I pretended to sleep as the nurse went to set her down... I knew what was coming. "Would you like take this one Mrs. Bishop?" "NO" I would be pegged as a bad mom from the get go. After she cleaned her up, she had her first little reputation. She quickly became the baby with the most impressive poop. Once again, Daddy's little girl! :)

So after three days of questioning if this little booger was eating enough and getting the nutrition she needed, Aron and I were sitting on the couch relaxing when it happened. The sound of thunder rang out from this little ity bity baby. I'm not even remotely kidding about the thunder part. She was lying on Aron when it roared. Aron had a look of fright on his face, lifted her up as if she had soiled him and for a few minutes I thought he might cry. I grabbed her with a proud momma glow and changed her. This is when it became official that I was a parent. I was happy that my child just pooped!

If you notice in the picture she is red with pissiness. She hates her diaper changed, but once she realizes that I've cleaned the mess she made, she is a happy camper again.
